On Wednesday night a few dozen people were stranded on a lift at Mount St. Louis Moonstone. The incident happened on Wednesday night around 7:45 pm where close to 70 people were stuck on a chairlift for about an hour. The reason behind the incident was a broken bolt. Oro-Medonte Township firefighters were initially called out to the Coldwater-area ski resort but were told to stand down as the ski workers at the resort handle the situation effectively.
Mount St. Louis Moonstone general manager Robert Huter said that the broken bolt was in a very difficult spot and it takes about an hour to fix it. They fixed the bolt, and everyone was Ok.
