The resort provides a slope of 4.1 km (2.54 miles) with 1.7 km (1 mile) for beginners, 1.80 km (1.11 miles) for medium difficulty and 0.60 km (0.37 miles) for advanced level respectively. The resort has five lifts for transportation. The ticket cost is € 27.90 ($ 30.15) for adults and € 16.90 ($ 18.26) for children. The ski lifting capacity is 5,500 skiers per hour.

Skiing/Snowboarding:


The resort has an artificial snow-making system. Almost 50 percent of the slope has the snow-making facility. Cross-country skiing is possible with two trails laid over a distance of 11 km (6.8 miles). It also has a practice trail for beginners.

Ski Lifts:

The five ski lifts include one gondola lift, one chairlift, 2 T-bar lifts and one rope down or beginner lift. The total lift length accounts to (1.80 miles). The Gondola lift uses the cable car supported by steel cables strung between two stations. The Bocksberg Mountain at the height of 726 meters (2,381 feet) is ideal for enjoying a cable car ride. The 8-minute ride will leave you sliding in the lap of beautiful mountains. After offering marvellous viewing sites, the cable car takes you down to a summit where the “Bocksberghütte” restaurant is situated. The restaurant is surely a must-visit. Apart from the delicious food and drinks, the restaurant organises traditional entertainment in the evenings. The chairlift is a new highlight of the Bocksberg Mountains. The chairlifts run parallel to the cable cars. The total number of seats is 95 which facilitate the transportation of 1900 persons one hour. The average speed is 2.6 meters (8 feet) per second. The chairlift runs over a distance of 946 meters (3,103 feet) and takes 6-9 minutes in reaching the top of the mountain. The new chairlift carries four persons at a time. The T-bar lift also called the ‘surface lift’ lets the skier/snowboarder remain on the ground, and they are pulled from above. The resort offers two T-bar lifts. The beginner lift is used for children and people who are learning to ski.

Toboggan Run:

The resort offers a toboggan run in the winter season which gives a thrilling experience. The carriage provides a leisurely ride through the valley. It is open till 21:30 and the route are well lit which makes it safe and also exciting during the evening. The toboggan is a good 1500 meters (4,921 feet) long which is the longest in Northern Europe. Sledding is also possible without natural snow through the resort’s snowmaking system. The upper end of the toboggan can be reached with the help of a cable car.

BocksBergBob:

The 1,250 meter (4,101 feet) long mountain rail system. It is well known as the summer toboggan. The ride begins below the mountain station and slowly travels downhill. One can ride it alone or with a partner. The minimum age should be eight years. The toboggan gives you a roller coaster experience with curves and jumps.

Ski School

Don’t know how to ski? Worry not! The resort has a practice lift for skiers to facilitate learning from experts. The Hahnenklee ski school offers skiing and snowboarding lessons for both beginners and advanced level skiers. The minimum age for participation is six years. However, there are private training sessions for children below six years of age. The ski lessons start at 9:30 in the morning. The private lessons cost € 35.00 ($ 3,782), 2 lessons for 3-4 persons cost € 30.00 ($ 3,242) and three lessons for more than persons cost the same.
