The Brandner (also BrandnerValley ) is a valley in the Austrian state of Vorarlberg named after the Valley Ski Resort. The Brandnertal Valley with the villages of Brand, Bürserberg, and Bürs starts in the immediate vicinity of the Bludenz Alpine town in southern Vorarlberg. The Bludenz Alpine town is the center of a 5-Valleys mountain region. At the heart of this place lie the mountains, nature and city culture – all go hand in hand. From hiking and biking in summers to skiing and snowboarding in winters we provide you with various thrilling activities.


 

Skiing & Snowboarding

Bregtallift Furtwangen is a hub for all skiing activities. A 0.3 km (0.18 mile) downhill slope is available for skiing and snowboarding. There is one T-bar lift which transports the guests easily hence families use it. The lift has a capacity of carrying 1000 people in one hour. Tickets for using the lift are sold on the basis of half day, day passes and seasonal pass. The lift is open on Tuesday, Thursday and Friday from 15 to 21.30 hours and one weekend (Saturday and Sunday) from 9.30 am to 4.30 pm. The resort provides the facility of night skiing. The operating time for night skiing is 19:00 to 22:00 o’clock on Tuesdays and Fridays. The slope is also covered with a floodlight to ensure the safety of skiers and to easily make way during evening hours. The resort also has three tobogganing slopes.

Resort Details

This the only resort located in Baden-Württemberg which is known for its greenery. It is perched at an elevation of 900 meters (2952 feet) from the top and 990 meters (3248 feet) from the base. The day ticket costs € 14 ($15.11) for adults and € 10 ($10.70) for children. The resort provides its guests with a wide range of winter sports including skiing, snowboarding and tobogganing. Besides these, the resort also has tonnes of other facilities like sauna, swimming pool, fitness centre, camping, casino and cinema. It also has a parking lot that is free of charge. The resort also has a small lodge where you can have a cosy and fun time after a tiring day. It serves mouthwatering snacks and drinks.

Ski Lessons

A super-fun and adventurous sport such as skiing definitely calls to be learnt. This is why the resort provides special ski lessons for people of all age groups. There is a great focus on making people the new techniques of skiing. There are two separate courses for beginners and basic skiers. Special courses for advanced skiers are also available. The lessons offered are: Alpine Skiing: It is basically downhill skiing where fixed heel bindings are tied to the skier’s toe and heel. The resort provides alpine skiing for athletes who have physical limitations. There are carving courses for both beginners who have never tried skiing and advanced skiers. Transit courses are organised to introduce people to new skiing technology. The minimum age is six years for children. Snowboarding: Snowboarding lessons for both beginners and advanced users are held. The advanced users are taught to ski using new tools and technologies. Senior courses are also offered. Ski Nordic: In this type of skiing, the boots of the skier are attached to the heel binding in such a way that the heel rises from the ski. This lesson is offered to beginners and retirees/seniors. The course is also open for advanced skiers who wish to learn a new For people opting for the advanced course the price for a half day lesson is € 25,00 ($2690), for a full day it is€ 35,00 ($3766), and for the day it costs€ 60,00 ($6457). Lesson prices for Individuals, family or small groups are different. The cost is € 35, 00 per hour/ person. There is a charge of € 15.00 ($1614) for an additional person in the group. The equipment to be used for skiing/snowboarding is available on rent.
