Officials with the Arapahoe Basin Ski Area in central Colorado confirm that it will remain open for skiing on July 4 for the first time since 2011. The ski resort has received nearly 7 feet of snow since March and the cool temperatures since then allowed enough snow to remain.
Ski area spokeswoman Katherine Fuller reveals that the Independence Day will be the final day of the ski resort’s 2018-19 ski season. The last time Arapahoe Basin stayed open until August 10 was during the 1994-95 season which is the longest ski season for them.
Note: No beginner skiing available.
