This ski resort is located in the Thuringian Forest (Thüringer Wald) in Thuringia (Thüringen), Germany. The elevation of the resort is 740 to 863 m (2,428 ft – 2,831 ft). Elevation difference is 365 m. The maximum vertical altitude is 123 m (403.5 ft) giving a breathtaking view.

 

Ski statistics:

The total run distance is 1 km (0.62 miles). The slopes are very easy and provide the best experience for the beginners. There are no difficult runs at the resort thus, maintaining the safety of the visitors. Thus, the resort can be categorised only into the blue piste which is the easy one. Valley run is available, and the place also provides floodlit skiing. Night skiing facilities are provided, and visitors’ interests are put to the best. Snowboarding is also taken up by many visitors at this resort. All facilities for snowboarding are also available. The skiing is at relatively low altitude so that snow cover can be variable.


 

Ski lifts:

The resort has one ski lift to transport the guests inside the resort. It is a T-bar / platter/button lift with a total capacity of 500 passengers per hour. The total length of the lifts is 0.8 km. · There is a planned Skilift – the Eisenberg (YOC 2017) which is essentially a T-bar lift. The length of this lift is 1000 m. It has a carrying capacity of 1000 passengers per hour. In case this lift fails, a replacement lift J-bar lift is used. · The J-bar lift Skilift Eisenberg (YOC 1973)is of length 830 m. It has a carrying capacity of 500 passengers per hour.

Ski Pass Prices:

The day ski pass at Eisenberg costs 22 euros for adults. For youth, the ticket cost is 17.60 euros. For children, the price is 13.20 euros.

Operational timings:

The general season for this resort is mid – December to mid – March. The resort is operational from09:30 in the morning to 5:00 in the evening The timings can vary based on external conditions, the day of the week, school holidays and public holidays.
