Elevation at Feuerkogel: The winter sports area is situated between the heights of 443 meters and 1625 meters. The vertical drop is about 1182 meters. This elevation is more than apt for all kinds of winter sports, especially skiing and snowboarding.

Snowfall at Feuerkogel: Snowfall is moderate at the Feuerkogel Ski Resort, and is suitable for winter sports as well as snow trail hikes. Snowfall occurs almost every other day and has a grainy texture. Snow depth at the mountain is 60 centimeters, whereas the snow depth at the valley is 40 to 50 centimeters. There are advanced snowmaking machines installed on the ski slopes, which prove to be useful in the offseason.

Weather at Feuerkogel: The temperatures at the mountains are always sub-zero, and are in the range of zero to eight degrees Celsius in the region of the valley. Sunlight lasts for about five to six hours and makes the snow covered surroundings shine and glow. Wind speeds are high. The Feuerkogel Ski Resort has a ski school where you can take lessons from trained instructors to learn skiing and snowboarding. They offer private or group courses according to your requirements. You can hire ski shoes, poles, fun-carvers, and race-carvers, short-carvers for skiing, and boards and boots for snowboarding. A complete ski tour equipment with fleeces, snowshoes, and sleds is also available for hire at the ski school. They help in organizing guided ski tours, snow shoe hikes, torchlit hikes, and night time ski races for you and your family.

Here, you are allowed to rent skiing equipment even for an entire season, for your own personal use by paying a small fee. You can even take the equipment home after a day filled with exciting activities, and bring it back the next time you visit the resort.

For people who don’t want to be involved in sports, and was to engage and immerse themselves in the beauty of Nature, can see Feuerkogel in a different light with activities like snowshoe hiking or torch lit hiking. Ski Slopes at Feuerkogel: The ski slopes are prepared by expert personnel and are maintained and groomed very well. 10 kilometers of slopes are available for skiing and snowboarding, of mixed difficulty levels. Four kilometers are easy, five kilometers are of intermediate difficulty, and the last one kilometer is a difficult level slope. On trail maps, the difficulty levels are represented as blue for easy, red for intermediate and black for difficult. Beginners, as well as professionals, can access the ski slopes and have a very good time.

There are also challenging opportunities in the form of ultra-difficult slopes, and exciting ski runs for advanced skiers. One particular challenge for expert-level skiers is the 6 kilometers long, unprepared ski route which runs out into the valley.

Lifts at Feuerkogel: The lift system in the Feuerkogel Ski Resort is excellent. There are eight lifts that can transport you to the top of the mountain, to get ready to ski down the snowy slopes. There are eight-seater cable cars, six-seater chair lifts, three to four T-Bar lifts, a magic carpet conveyor and a special cable lift for children. These lifts have unmatched quality and are provided by the No. 1 cable car manufacturer, Doppelmayr. The total length is 6.6 kilometers, and efficiently carries 8235 passengers per hour.

The average rate is around 38 euros. Children and senior citizens get a few euros off, 15 euros for children and 24 euros for senior citizens. Combined passes for day and night can be bought at higher rates in the range of 71 euros to 184 euros, depending on a number of days.
