The Gaberl-Stubalpe Ski area has a history that goes back more than 150 years. In the context of its name, back in the day, there used to be a building here, the Gaberlhaus. And, the owner of the Gaberlhaus was a certain, Gabriel Klauzer, who was also otherwise known as Gaberl. It is here onwards that the name of the ski area originates. Today the Gaberlhaus has become a cozy restaurant which houses a more than 100 years old Schifahrerstüber. On the menu here you will find mainly Styrian delicacies and homemade pastries.
