    • From the West: You reach the motorway Munich-Salzburg and then through the Tauernautobahn (A10) you reach the Ennstal Junction. From this point onwards the remaining distance is about 25 kilometers (or 15.534 miles) to the Schladming-Dachstein region. Next, you will just have to take the Ennstalbundesstraße (B 320) and you are there.
    • From the East: If you are coming from this direction you will have to reach the Vienna (A23) and the Südautobahn (A 2). Thereon you take the Semmering (S 6) and reach the St. Michael junction. Next, you will have to take the Pyhrnautobahn (A9) which will then take you to the junction of Liezen. Finally, you take the Ennstalbundesstraße (B 320) which will take you to the destination.
    • From South-East: While coming from this direction you will have to come via the Pyhrnautobahn (A 9) which will take you to the Liezen junction, and from this point onwards you will have to take the Ennstalbundesstraße (B 320) which will take you to the Schladming-Dachstein junction for Pruggern.
    • From South: If you are coming from this direction then you will have to take the Tauernautobahn (A10) which will take you to the Ennstal junction and from here the remaining distance is only about 30 kilometers (or 18.6311 miles) to the Schladming-Dachstein region. You will directly reach there by taking the Ennstalbundesstraße (B 320).

Opening Hours: The Galsterbergalm resort area observes the following schedule –

    • Galsterberg: The season begins by 2nd December and then ends by 26th March. They operate from 8:30 am in the morning till 4:15 pm.
    • Night drops: It begins from the 31st of December and is observed during the Tuesdays, Thursdays, and Saturdays, beginning from 7:00 pm till 9:45 pm.
    • Gondel Galsterberg: It operates daily during the season between 8.30 am and 4.15 pm.
    • Chair lift and ski lifts: They too operate daily during the season from 9:00 am to 4:00 pm.
    • Opening hours: The operational hours of the resort area are daily from 8:30 am to 5:00 pm.
    • The final inspection of the mountain rescue service: This takes place daily at 5:00 pm.
    • Gondola lift: It operates on Tuesday, Thursday & Saturday between 7:00 pm and 9.45 pm throughout the season.
    • Last check-up Toboggan runs: This takes place at 11:30 pm.

 

 

Safety

Safety

The International Ski Federation (FIS) mandates certain Austrian region and requires all the visitors and athletes to maintain them at all times. It is not only about your safety but also about the safety of everyone else present on the slope. Furthermore, on the same lines, the Galsterbergalm Ski Area also prescribes the same, for its guests. Kindly take a look below and know about their responsibility code:

 

  • Know your own ability: You must be mindful of your own safety when skiing and only use the ski slopes that are suitable to your skiing ability. The routes are divided up into blue (novice), red (intermediate) and black (expert) slopes. Each official ski slope is prepared and checked regularly.
  • Recognize when the material is in proper condition: Part of a safe the skiing experience is having the model of skis or snowboard that is right for you and having an expert adjust the bindings. Trust your specialist dealer. The experts will gladly assist you.
  • Know your own limits: Ski at a speed adapted to the slope and the weather. Avoid jumping into the fun when you are fatigued or do not have the proper technique.
  • Know the FIS rules. The rules for conduct from the international Ski Federation apply worldwide. They are mandatory and enhance skiing safety.

These rules also apply to experts or powder sports professionals and also to individuals of all age groups. Always keep in mind the following points:

 

  • Be considerate of others and help them in emergencies.
  • Only ski as fast as your ability allows.
  • Choose your lane and pay attention to signs and markings.
  • Be considerate when overtaking, and watch out for other skiers when entering, starting and moving upwards on the slopes.
  • The careful when stopping, ascending and descending.

    • Children: Kids who are between the age of 6 and 12 years qualify under this category with respect to the terms and conditions of Galsterbergalm Ski Area. Now, these guys will have to pay EUR 44.00 for the 1.5 days’ worth of ticket. Similarly, the ticket for a period of 2 days will cost them EUR 49.50. The same for a period of 2.5 days will cost EUR 67.00. Furthermore, the rate for a 3 Day ticket is EUR 74.50, the rate for the 4 Day Ticket is EUR 144.50, and the rate for the 5 Day Ticket is EUR 110.50. The Galsterbergalm Ski Area is regarded to have optimal skiing conditions throughout the season along with round the clock assistance. Be it groups or club races and even group training programs – they sure can surprise you. Furthermore, the ski area also has the longest permanent race track in the Schladming-Dachstein region. This race track can be especially reserved for various purposes. Tobogganing:

Come here to enjoy their 5 kilometer (or 3.1 mile) long natural cycle track. This sort of an adventure is liked and can be performed by both young and old alike and irrespective of the time of the day or night. Most of the people particularly enjoy the downhill ride.     • Adults: Individuals who are between the age of 19 and 64 years qualify under this category with respect to the terms and conditions of Galsterbergalm Ski Area. Now, there are two options available for these guys – firstly, if they want to take the Mountain Trip option then they will have to pay EUR 13.00 and secondly, the cost of groups comprising of 20 or more individuals is just EUR 12.00.
    • Children: Kids who are between the age of 6 and 12 years qualify under this category with respect to the terms and conditions of Galsterbergalm Ski Area. Now, there are two options available for these guys – firstly, if they want to take the Mountain Trip option then they will have to pay EUR 7.20 and secondly, the cost of groups comprising of 20 or more individuals is just EUR 6.60.

 

 

Evening activities

Evening activities are organized on Tuesdays, Thursdays, and Saturdays.

 

    • Adults: Individuals who are between the age of 19 and 64 years qualify under this category with respect to the terms and conditions of Galsterbergalm Ski Area. Now, there are 7 or so options available under this configuration for these guys. Firstly, the Mountain Trip costs – EUR 15.50, secondly, the rates for groups comprising of 20 or more individuals is EUR 14.50, thirdly, if they want to get their hands on Skiing for Pass holders then they will have to pay EUR 12.50, fourthly, to access the evening menu they pay EUR 22.50, fifthly, the same, Evening Menu for groups comprising of 20 or more individuals – the rate is EUR 21.50, sixthly, the Evening Ticket for ski pass holders is priced at EUR 19.50, and lastly, the Evening 10 Block can be arranged at a cost of EUR 140.00.
    • Youth: Individuals who are between the age of 13 and 18 years qualify under this category with respect to the terms and conditions of Galsterbergalm Ski Area. Now, there are 4 or so options available under this configuration for these guys. Firstly, to access the evening menu they pay EUR 17.00, fifthly, the same, Evening Menu for groups comprising of 20 or more individuals – the rate is EUR 16.00, sixthly, the Evening Ticket for ski pass holders is priced at EUR 14.50, and lastly, the Evening 10 Block can be arranged at a cost of EUR 105.00.
    • Children: Kids who are between the age of 6 and 12 years qualify under this category with respect to the terms and conditions of Galsterbergalm Ski Area. Thirdly, if they wish to make an advanced payment on the Pre-seasons card only for the one organized at Galsterberg – then it will cost you just EUR 50.00 and lastly, the extra charges for the pre-seasons card include – EUR 104.00.
    • Youth: Individuals who are between the age of 13 and 18 years qualify under this category with respect to the terms and conditions of Galsterbergalm Ski Area. Now, there are 4 or so options available under this configuration for these guys. Firstly, the Evening Seasons Pass without the option of a day season ticket is priced at EUR 107.00 and it is only available at Galsterberg.
