From Steyr and Waidhofen and Ybbs lies the most family-friendly ski area Glasenberg in the pre-Alps near Maria Neustift not very far from these towns. Ascending to the top of the mountain with all the swift shakes and brakes is well worth it after you’ve lodged into the place. At the Glasenberg Mountains, you will find three different and always prepared runs which are both interesting for beginners and advanced alike, the main focus of the Glasenberg is on family-friendly prices so that people of all ranges may enjoy their slides.

The Mountain has a 2100 ft summit with a base of 980 ft and a drop of 1120 ft. They have a total of 1 lift which is a surface lift. It has a total of 60 acres of skiable area. These 60 acres of land, the whole area is covered by snowmaking in the case of absence of natural snow. There are a total two runs spanning over 4 km in Glasenberg Ski Area. All of them almost equally divided on the basis of the level of comfort in skiing. The resort opens in December and is open for 110 days in the season. It has been open for 16 years

 

 

 

Skiing and Snowboarding

The Glasenberg consists of many varied and diverse slopes for riders of all levels with a total of 4 km which are divided into 3 km runs for beginners which are three tracks, 1 km runs for the medium difficulty which is one track,  runs for difficult level riders which and free rides are unavailable on the mountain. The summit also offers awesome scenery. The Glasenberg Mountain Ski Area has two trails of which 57% are for intermediate runs, 43% for advanced runs and no expert runs. They have snow all the time we need with their newly equipped state-of-the-art snow guns covering all of the skiable lands.

 

Season Pass



At Glasenberg Mountain the season passes prevail for the whole season so make sure you do justice to it. There are many reductions like the youth, the elderly and family reductions on these passes. The price of passes from 10:30 am is €13 for an adult, €7 for children, €11 for youth and €11 for seniors. The price of passes from 12:00 pm is €12 for adult, €6 for children, €10 for youth and €10 for seniors. The price of passes from 13:30 pm is €10 for adult, €5 for children, €8 for youth and €8 for seniors.

 

The price of passes to 12 pm is €12 for adult, €6 for children, €10 for youth and €10 for seniors. The price of passes on an hourly basis for 2 hours is €9 for adult, €4 for children, €8 for youth and €8 for seniors.  Even one hour cards are available at price of Adults € 5.50, Children € 2.50 and Teen and seniors € 4.50. Also, children aged under the age of 6 if accompanied by an adult with a ticket can ride free. The students and military personnel are required to get their valid ID’s. Also, seniors aged above 60 are requested to bring ID proofs along with photos for identification purposes to Glasenberg Mountain to be valid for the passes.

 

 

Lift Tickets

The Glasenberg Mountain Resort has a skiable terrain which is serviced by one lift which is a surface lift. Adults are aged 18 to 64, youth are aged 6 to 13, and students aged 14 to 25 with valid ID and seniors 65 and older. For children ages 5 and below the lift rides are free. Children under the age of 6 years who are accompanied by parents are free to ride the lifts. Also, there are family tickets depending on the number of adults per family. The lift starts operating from 9 in the morning to 4 in the afternoon.


 

From 9 am an adult ticket costs €14, child ticket costs €8, for young or elderly it costs €12, for a family with one adult and children it costs €20 and for a family with two adults and children costs €28. From 10:30 am an adult ticket costs €13, child ticket costs €7, for young or elderly it costs €11, for a family with one adult and children it costs €18 and for a family with two adults and children costs €26. From 12 am an adult ticket costs €12, child ticket costs €6, for young or elderly it costs €10, for a family with one adult and children it costs €16 and for a family with two adults and children costs €24.

 

From 1:30 pm an adult ticket costs €10, child ticket costs €5, for young or elderly it costs €8, for a family with one adult and children it costs €13 and for a family with two adults and children costs €20. From 9 am to 12:30 pm the morning tickets for an adult ticket costs €12, child ticket costs €6, for young or elderly it costs €10, for a family with one adult and children it costs €16 and for a family with two adults and children costs €24. Season passes for an adult ticket costs €120, child ticket costs €65, for young or elderly it costs €90, for a family with one adult and children it costs €160 and for a family with two adults and children costs €240. The tickets, overall, are priced decently.
