ELEVATIONS:



  The ski resort is located at a base elevation of 880 m (2887 ft), and the highest slope reaches an elevation of 1300 m (4265 ft). The winter sports area is located between these elevations with a vertical drop of 420 m (1377 ft).

TRAILS:


The resort is meant for advanced skiers as this mountain plays host to a number of championships and tournaments. The Götschen Skizentrum houses five different runs of a total length of 8.7 km (5.4 miles). There are more intermediate and advanced slopes which cover 5.8 km (3.6 miles), that is, 67% of the runs, while the easy slopes cover 33% of the runs. The longest run is located an elevation difference of 427 m (1400 ft) and runs the length of 2.5 km (1.5 miles). This ski park also allows Valley runs and the artificial snow machines ensure the safety of the skiers and snowboarders. Another highlight of this ski wonderland is that night-time skiing is made possible, on every Fridays from 6 pm to 9:30 pm, with the use of floodlights.

LIFTS:

Though the park is on the smaller side, it provides a total of three lifts, where two of them are tow lifts, and the final one is a chairlift. Of each of the tow lifts, one of them runs a length of 250 m (820 ft), while the other covers a distance of 1000 m (3280 ft). Both of these lifts have a carrying capacity of 1200 persons per hour. The chairlift is a fixed three-person lift that runs the length of 1750 m (5741 ft) and possesses a carrying capacity of 1600 persons per hour. During the night-time skiing, the chairlift is used to reach the slopes.

OPENING SEASON AND PRICES:


The general opening season of the Götschen Skizentrum ski resort last from around mid-December to early April and is open from 9 am to 4 pm. The opening days are subject to both weather conditions and any public or school holidays. The prices for the lifts range from 12 Euros to 24 Euros ($13 to $26). The pricing system has several options for payment. You can pay based on a point system or a time-based system. ACCOMMODATIONS AND SKI SCHOOLS:

For those looking to brush up on their skiing and snowboarding skills, the Katy Hölzl ski and snowboard school provide classes and one-on-one coaching sessions. There are also rental shops available to rent out skis, shoes, poles and other equipment. For those wishing to rest up and stay the night, hotels are available in Berchtesgaden.
