With this year’s epic snowfall, skiing in Sierra will be a wonderful experience and enjoyment. But for many people lift ticket price may appear far out of their reach. Once a person starts to realize that Squaw Valley is over $150 per day, they pretty much drop the whole idea of hitting the slopes. But for people who want to ski for less expense can grab plenty of deals.  So, today I am going to draw your attention to some of the ways where you can actually pay less for skiing in Sierra. Without further ado let’s see the ways to pay less for skiing in the Sierra.

Buy ticket a week advance

Remember buying seven days ahead can save your money. At Sugar Bowl, buying a weekday ticket is $113 online but if you buy ticket seven days in advance then it can fall to as low as $67.99.

Online ticket

If you don’t want to plan your ski months ahead and just want to ski for a day or two then always buy the tickets from online rather than the retail at the ticket window. Retail ticket price is always higher than the online ticket.

 Specials

Many resorts offer great special deals for the people such as Mt Rose offer 2 for 1 Tuesday, at Diamond Peak, one can ski for free on your birthday and many resorts have deals for members of the military etc.

Under $ 100 for the amateur skier

If you are not an expert skier then you can ski for well under $100 per day daily at Donner Ski Ranch for $40. But you can’t enjoy the wonderful terrain of Squaw or Heavenly.
