A Brief Overview of the Ski Resorts in Jungfrau Region –

Schilthorn-Mürren/ Lauterbrunnen ski resort is the highest ski resort in the Bernese Oberland. The height does not fail to offer a majestic view of the UNESCO World Heritage Site known as Swiss Alps Jungfrau-Aletsch. It includes the Eiger, Mönch, and Jungfrau under the name. The season starts late in December and ends by late April.
Ways to Reach –
You can reach this ski resort by either a car, a bus, train or via a flight.
There is 2 entry points to this ski resort by road, Luftseilbahn Lauterbrunnen-Grütschalpand Luftseilbahn Stechelberg-Gimmelwald-Mürren. The access is via A8 Spiez-Interlaken and exits at Wilderswil. The roads are well developed with significant inclines and side roads. Road closure due to avalanches is unlikely. Parking space is limited and maybe tarred.

Post buses and ski buses run at regular routines in Lauterbrunnen and Stechelberg.
The Lauterbrunnen train station is the nearest to the base station making the ski resort very easily accessible. The train to Lauterbrunnen departs from the Interlaken East train station.

Availability of Lifts -

The elevation goes from 796 meters / 2611.5 feet to 2970 meters / 9744feet. 16 ski lifts are available, distributed into1 funicular, 5 reversible ropeway, 7 chairlifts, 2platter lifts and 1 rope tow. All of these lifts together carry 13852 passengers in an hour’s time and make a total length of 16.6kilometers / 10.3 miles.
Slopes-
57 kilometers (35.4 miles) of slopes of varying steepness and difficulty makes this place unique itself. They are classified into different difficulty levels. 47% of slopes already having snowmaking capabilities and 38 cannons take care of the rest. Valley run is available along with running locations above and under the tree line,.37% of the trails are for the beginners. 45% of the trails are for the intermediates skiers. 18% of the trails are for the advanced level skiers.
Ski Rentals -

The rental stations Interlaken is supplied by Alpinresorts.
Kleine Scheidegg/ Männlichen is known for being the largest ski resort. The season goes from late November till the middle of April.

The roads are well developed with significant inclines and side roads. Road closure due to avalanches is unlikely. Usually, enough parking spaces are available. The destinations by name are, WengernalpbahnLauterbrunnen, Männlichenbahn, Grindelwald-Grund-KleineScheideggbahn and Wengen-Männlichen.
Post buses and ski buses regulate in Grindelwald.

The elevation goes from 944 meters / 3097 feet to 2320 meters / 7611 feet. 24 ski lifts are available, distributed into 3 cog railway, 1 reversible ropeway, 2 gondola lift, 10chairlifts, 6 rope tow and 2 platter/button lifts. All of these lifts together carry 29250 passengers in an hour’s time and make a total length of 45.9 kilometers / 28.5 miles.
Slopes -
102 kilometers (63.3 miles) of slopes are available with varying degrees and lengths. There are no snow cannons but 70% of the slopes have snowmaking capabilities. Valley run is available there with run locations above and under the tree line.32% of the trails are for the beginners. 55% of the trails are for the intermediates skiers. 13% of the trails are for the advanced level skiers.
Ski Rentals -
The rental stations Grindelwald, Interlaken, and Wengen are all supplied by Alpinresorts. Skiset does not supply Interlaken.
First-Grindelwald is in the ability to offer everything and takes care of everyone visiting this place. It opens in early December and closes around late March.
Ways to Reach -
The ski resort is accessible by all means of transportation.
The access is via A8 Spiez-Interlaken and exits at Wilderswil. It ends at Firstbahn. Being 19 kilometers (11.8 miles) away from the resort, it takes approximately 24 minutes of driving time. The roads are well developed with significant inclines and side roads. Road closure due to avalanches is unlikely. The parking space is limited.
Scheduled buses run from the ski resort to provide easy access.

All of these lifts together carry 12720 passengers in an hour’s time and make a total length of 11.8 kilometers / 7.3 miles.
Slopes -
53 kilometers (32.9 miles) of slopes are available with varying degrees and lengths. 71% of the slopes have snow making capabilities and the rest is taken care of by the help of 38 snow cannons. Valley run is available. The running location is available above and under the tree line. 57% of the trails are for the beginners.28% of the trails are for the intermediates skiers. 15% of the trails are for the advanced level skiers.

Both the rental stations Grindelwald and Interlaken are both supplied by Alpinresorts. Skiset also supplies the former one.
