Korean leader Kim Jong Un has officially opened a new ski resort and mountain
spa to boost tourism in the South Pyongan Province. Supreme leader Kim cut the
ribbon on Saturday at Yangdok Hot Spring Cultural Recreation Center during the
opening ceremony. He thanked his soldiers for creating a miracle and perfect
ski resort within a year. According to the reports, the resort’s ski slopes, a
horse-riding park, hot spring spas, and red-roofed hotels were proudly
displayed on state TV aerial footage.
Other than the Yangdok complex, North Korea has recently completed another mountain resort facility in the northern town of Samjiyon. A summer resort is also being constructed in the town of Wonsan on the coast.
