Colorado’s Keystone Resort requires a lift access to 2 high-alpine bowls that will provide better access to nearly a square mile of high-alpine bowl skiing. They are asking the U.S. Forest Service to allow it to build a lift for better service to ski lovers. Keystone Resort wants more people to ski and snowboard the Bergman and Erickson bowls, which are only be reached by hiking or by using the resort’s Sno-Cat service.
Keystone Resort spokeswoman Loryn Roberson said that they want to include a new lift in the Bergman Bowl, a warming hut, trails, and new snowmaking operations for the winter-only proposal. The U.S. Forest Service has 60 days to review the Keystone Ski Resort proposal.
