If you want the perfect escape away from the busy city life then, Loferer Alm is just the location for you. Almenwelt Lofer is one of the longest covered conveyer belts in the Alps which is called the “magic carpet” which in operation in winter. The place has built one of the largest water reservoirs in Salzburg with a stupendous capacity which means that three times as much water available for artificial snowmaking to enjoy the snow whenever one desires. This ski resort is known to be Austria’s one of the most family friendly destinations for a holiday visit.
Loferer Alm has many snow sports adventures to offer like toboggan runs, cross country skiing tracks, and winter hiking paths for the winter sports enthusiasts. The place is open for both summers and winters for sports and hiking fun. The place has Reasonable family day and multiple day tickets, improved and more frequent ski bus directly from or towards the Valley Station, free use of the beginner lifts at the Valley Station and magic carpet on Loferer Alm which adds extra points to the pros of the place and also, there is snow reliability with the new large water reservoir built near the place.

The Loferer Alm consists of many varied and diverse slopes for riders of all levels with a total of 46 km which are divided into 31 km runs for beginners which 1 track, 12 km runs for medium difficulty which is 1 track, 3 km runs for difficult level riders which is 1 track and free rides and routes are not available on this mountain. They have snow all the time we need with their newly equipped state-of-the-art snow guns covering all of the skiable lands. Lessons are also provided who need a good learning experience, especially for beginners. There are over 46 km of downhill runs of which 32 km are on blue slopes, 12 km are of red and 2 km are of black which offers skiing pleasure on different and all sorts of challenging routes.
Loferer Alm offers an interesting winter experience which is on foot with the Almenwelt-Rundwanderweg which goes all the way out from the Almbahn II mountain station. Almenwelt Lofer has 1.5 km to 4 km of a sign posted walkways to offer for the winter hikers on its beautiful plateaus. This long route on the mountains leaves you with discovering fine cuisine at the Einkehrschwung at four restaurants which leave your taste buds bedazzled. The snowy alpine paths enable a romantic experience for those in need of some private space and some chilly breath of air. There is also guided snowshoe trekking paths available for those adventurous and enthusiastic people who need an alternative to skiing.
Loferer Alm with its thrilling Alps provides with nine classic cross-country ski-runs spanning across a total of 26.5 km and one high cross country skiing track over 4 km. Starting from the Restaurant Schönblick which is both start and finish point of the track, a four km comprehensive cross-country loop that runs partly parallel to the famous Almenwelt circular trail.
The Loferer Alm has ten lifts of which 5 are drag lifts, and 3 are chairlifts, and 2 are cable cars. The rate of tickets depends on age and the time of visitation. There are many reductions like the youth, the elderly and family reductions on these passes. From 11 am an adult ticket costs €38, child ticket costs €19, for youth ticket costs €30 and for seniors it costs €34. From 12 pm an adult ticket costs €35, child ticket costs €17, for youth ticket costs €28 and for seniors it costs €31. From 1 pm an adult ticket costs €30, child ticket costs €15, for youth ticket costs €24 and for seniors it costs €27. Up to 12 pm an adult ticket costs €33, child ticket costs €16, for youth ticket costs €26 and for seniors it costs €29.
The price of passes for one day is €41 for adult, €20 for children, €33 for youth and €37 for seniors. The price of passes for two days is €79 for adult, €39 for children, €63 for youth and €71 for seniors. The price of passes for three days is €72 for adult, €36 for children, €51 for youth and €61 for seniors. The price of passes for four days is €110 for adult, €55 for children, €88 for youth and €99 for seniors. The price of passes for five days is €173 for adult, €89 for children, €156 for youth and €133 for seniors. The price of passes for six days is €201 for adult, €100 for children, €160 for youth and €181 for seniors. The price of passes for 12 days is €331 for adult, €166 for children, €265 for youth and €298 for seniors.
The Loferer Alm has become a traditional place for family and is well known for its snow park consisting of jumps, boxen, and slides.
