Maiskogel is popularly known as the family mountain located at the center of Kaprun. The valley station Panoramabahn Schaufelberg is comfortably situated in the center of Kaprun and offers a convenient and a comfortable ride up to the center of the family skiing area. With inexpensive costs and a lot of space to accommodate and hold the guests the Mountain is easily one of the most favorite spots for a family visit. Maiskogel provides for a perfect location which offers an extensive use of snow making facilities. The mountain provides a snow guarantee from the beginning of December until spring time.

At Maiskogel many snow sports adventures are offered like toboggan runs, cross country skiing tracks, a fun park and hiking paths for the winter sports enthusiasts. The mountain is open for year-round fun. Along with many other miscellaneous activities like ice skating, curling and sleigh trips that add extra points to the mountain. The Mountain has become a winter destination for many families and skiers with over a decade of hospitality and an average annual snowfall of 150 inches. The 65 hectares of land that await for you to be discovered are beautifully placed.

The Maiskogel consists of many varied and different terrains for skiers and snowboarders of all levels with a total of 20 km of land to be skiing which is divided into 14 km runs for beginners which 1 track, 5 km runs for medium difficulty which is 1 track, 1 km runs for difficult level riders which is 1 track and free rides and routes are not available on this mountain. At the mountain is Kaprun’s ski schools with professional ski instructors who have been specially trained to work with kids.

These instructors are trained and are sensitive to the children’s needs, and are able to guarantee a strong foot in beginning the child’s skiing experience to enhance their wintertime fun. There are many courses provided private or groups as per your comfort levels. These lessons are charged according to the plan and age group of selection, and also some groups can have extra people with additional charges to be paid.

 

Season Passes

Season passes here at the Maiskogel prevail throughout the season on rides and amenities. The cost for advance sale is €535 for an adult, €400 for youth and €260 for children and the cost of regular sales is €625 for an adult, €470 for youth and €310 for children. There are also multi-day tickets available at the mountain. The price of passes for one day is €55 for adult, €41 for youth and €27 for children. The price of passes for two days is €107 for adult, €80 for youth and €53 for children. The price of passes for three days is €155 for adult, €116 for youth and €77 for children. The price of passes for four days is €198 for adult, €148 for youth and €99 for children. The price of passes for five days is €235 for adult, €176 for youth and €117 for children. The price of passes for six days is €265 for adult, €198 for youth and €132 for children. The price of passes for seven days is €290 for adult, €217 for youth and €145 for children. The price of passes for eight days is €319 for adult, €239 for youth and €159 for children.

 

 

 

Lift Tickets

The Maiskogel has three lifts of which 1 is drag lifts, and 2 are chairlifts. The rate of tickets depends on age and the time of visitation. From 2 pm the ticket costs €21 for adult, €16 for youth and €11 for children. From 1 pm the ticket costs €25 for adult, €20 for youth and €13 for children. From 12 pm the ticket costs €32 for adult, €22 for youth and €17 for children.  From 11 am the ticket costs €34 for adult, €24 for youth and €18 for children. From 10 am the ticket costs €37 for adult, €26 for youth and €19 for children. From 8 am, that is the full day the ticket costs €39 for adult, €28 for youth and €20 for children.

There is also multi-day ticket available at the place. The price of tickets for two days is €94 for adult, €70 for youth and €47 for children. The price of tickets for three days is €139 for adult, €104 for youth and €69 for children. The price of tickets for four days is €176 for adult, €132 for youth and €88 for children. The price of tickets for five days is €210 for adult, €157 for youth and €105 for children. The price of tickets for six days is €240 for adult, €180 for youth and €120 for children. The price of tickets for seven days is €262 for adult, €197 for youth and €131 for children. The price of tickets for eight days is €286 for adult, €214 for youth and €143 for children.
