The Nara ski resort is perched at an elevation of 1192 meters (3910 feet approx) at a vertical drop, 2,123 meters (6965 feet approx) being the highest lift and 931 meters (3054 feet approx) from the base. The resort is open from early December to end of March. And for skiing and snowboarding, about 30 km of area is available. If you’re a nature lover then sports such as mountain hiking, hut hiking, and Nordic walking are available. Other sports such as gliding, paragliding, mountain biking and mountaineering are also available for sports lovers. The Nara resort offers plenty of possibilities for enjoying a cozy retreat as well as amazing mountain experiences. The resort also gives you endless opportunities for discovering panoramic landscapes on snowshoes, away from trails and lifts where you can enjoy the beauty of nature.
Skiing and Snowboarding Statistics
Nara is considered to be paradise for winter sports lover. It has much in store for everyone like skiers, children, free-riders, and snowboarders. This resort meets everyone expectations as it is a family-friendly resort. It is ideal for everyone whether children, adults or families. The longest trail is for about 30 km (18 miles approx) leading you through the most beautiful and interactive region of Nara. Out of 30 km, 10 km (33%) slopes are considered easy, 15k (50%) slopes are intermediate and 5 km (17%) to be difficult. Nara ski resort offers the possibility of paragliding, Telemark skiing and hiking. 5 kilometers (3 miles approx) of the trail is available for High altitude hiking trails and winter hiking trails. Paragliding and 5 km (3 miles approx) of sled trail are also available. 7 km of snow-covered trail is available for skiers and snowboarders lovers with all kind of rails and Snow Park with jumps.
Learn To Ski
Visiting a ski resort and don’t know how to ski. Do you want to give it a try? Don’t worry friends. Whether you’re a beginner, Intermediate or an expert Ski and snowboard school at Nara ski resort have something for everyone to learn. A team of instructors at this school encourages you and helps you to take your first moves in the snow to an advanced level making memorable memories. Ski Kindergarten is available for children of age group 3-6 years and costs 188$ approx. For beginners special courses are available in weekends of January and while for complete immersion in the world of sliding snow sports, weekly courses are recommended. Weekly courses are available for children of age group 6-16 years and adults 17 years and older. Costs of weekly courses for children is 237$ approx (222 Euro) and for adults, it costs 257$ approx (241 Euro). Telemark is also taught at this school but the condition is there must be at least 3 participants available for the course. Private and group courses are also available for those who want to learn ski and snowboarding.
Ski Lifts are an important part of the ski resort as these will help you to move through slopes smoothly and efficiently. There are a total of 5 ski lifts in the resort which carries 4300 passengers per hour with the total lift length of 6.6 kilometers (4 miles approx). There are 2 chair lifts and 3 T-bar lifts to transport the guests. 1 chair lift is the high-speed chair lift with a capacity to carry 2 persons at a time and another chairlift with fixed-grip can also carry two persons at a time. T-bar lifts are divided in 2 T-bar lifts and 1 J-bar lift. The people mover is also available at the resort. Ski passes tickets cost Euro 36 (38 $ approx) for adults and Euro 28 (29 $ approx) for children.
Accommodation and Lodging Facilities

Basic amenities also include special meals on request, non-smoking rooms, pets are allowed and library. The restaurant serves various cuisines and a grocery store and also a low-priced petrol station is available at Defanti. At this hotel, four different languages are spoken so as to have an easy communication with guests. It costs around 98$ (92 Euro approx) per night.
