New Zealand Ski Champion Pip Greig Died From Dengue Fever-News

New Zealand ski champion Pip Greig who is just 36, has died from dengue fever while traveling in Mexico. Rob Greig, father of Pip Greig has confirmed the news of his daughter death on New Zealand Herald. He said Pip was house-sitting for a friend in a small village in Mexico when she gets the mosquito-borne viral infection and fell ill. He suspected that she was sick for four or five days until neighbors insisted she go to the base hospital in Puerto Vallarta which is a 40-minute boat ride away to seek help.

 

Pip succumbed to the disease on August 17. CPR was applied for 40 minutes, but she couldn’t be revived. Pip’s parents were devastated to hear her news. They were traveling in Sweden at the time of Pip’s death.
