The
Saddleback Mountain ski resort has been sold and is expected to reopen in 2020
after more than four years after it closed. A Boston investment company is
making plans to make significant improvements before Saddleback ski
area reopening next season.
An
agreement between the Berry family that owns Saddleback and the Boston
investment company Arctaris Impact Fund has announced on Thursday that it
reached an agreement this week to sell the ski resort. The new owners of
Saddleback ski resort is intended to replace the aging Rangeley Double
chairlift with a modern quad lift, replace an aging T-bar, boost snowmaking and
make improvements to the lodge before they reopen between Thanksgiving and
Christmas of 2020.
