Skier Who died on Lutsen Mountains Ski Resort Identified-News

On Wednesday at noon, the Cook County Sheriff was notified about a skier with severe facial injuries found unconscious. The person has now been identified as David Michael Skog. He was 70 years old and hailed from St Paul.

As per the reports, the ski patrol of Lutsen Mountains Ski Resort employed every possible life-saving measure to revive David. This continued till 1:30 pm when the sheriff arrived with the ambulance. The medical personnel pronounced him dead. During those hours, the identity of David Michael Skog remained a mystery.

The body was immediately sent to the nearest hospital. It is likely that the person was skiing in the Moose Mountain chalet region. The initial findings did not point towards any foul play. It has been confirmed by Lutsen Resort’s marketing director, Jim Vick, that David was skiing alone. He wasn’t seen with any friends or alike. Jim Vick also added that this isn’t the first time something like this has happened at Lutsen Mountains Ski Resort.

The common speculation concerning the reason of death points towards an accident during skiing. The autopsy is to be carried out at the Midwest Medical Examiner's office. Further updates on this Mishap are awaited.
