Skiers Buried By Avalanche At Swiss Ski Resort-News

A number of skiers were buried by an avalanche at the ski slope in Andermatt, Switzerland ski resort. Reto Pfister, state police spokesperson in the Swiss canton of Uri state that at least two people were injured and they believe there are still more people buried but they can't say how many.

The police first got the report of avalanche at 10:50 a.m. (4:50 a.m. ET) and quickly involved in the ongoing rescue operation. Alpine Rescue Switzerland, the state police and Swiss Air Ambulance were involved in emergency rescue operation at Andermatt which is popular with skiers from around the world.
