Sleeping Giant Ski Area located in northwest Wyoming is going to suspend winter operations after this season due to financial problems.
The board of directors’ decision is announced by Amy Woods; manager of the Yellowstone Recreations Foundation and states that the number of skiers and snowboarders currently attract to the resort does not make winter operations financially feasible as they are running on a deficit of over $200,000 per year. She quoted that the decision is “agonizing but necessary.”
