March is often the time of big snowfall and a lovely month for ski lovers. It’s the time when people can ski in sunshine and prices for the tickets, passes, boots, and jackets for ski drops. If all these things are not enough then there are some pleasurable upcoming attractions at resorts store for you. Here are some of the upcoming attractions for ski lovers.
Retro Ski Day & Season Pass Holder Party, March 18th– Bring up your retro gear to Diamond Peak to celebrate the 50th anniversary season in style. There will be a barbecue with live music and special events for season pass holders.
UnBirthday Celebration, March 24th – Birthday comes once in a year in which Diamond Peak allow their guest to ski for free as a gift. For those people with birthdays that fall outside the ski season, they celebrate UnBirthday Day. If your birthday falls during April 17 to December 14, join Diamond Peak on Friday, March 24 for a free lift ticket. You just need to bring a valid photo ID to the ticket window to receive your free UnBirthday ticket.
Diamond Peak Dummy Downhill, April 1st – This wacky event is really fun for the whole family. You can Pre-register online or by emailing your dummy name, team name, and team captain’s name(s) by March 31.
Camp Richardson Snowshoe Cocktail Race, March 18
The signups for the races open at 5 pm at the Beacon Bar and Grill. Racing heats start at 7 pm. It’s free to race, and winners get some exciting prizes.
Nickolay Dodov Slopestyle Competition, March 18 – Registration starts at 9 am with practice runs beginning at 10 am. The competition will begin at 11 am with prizes being awarded to the winner. Cost of registration is $20.
The annual Pond Skimming and Brewfest, April 1 – Get it on to the competition with your retro ski clothes and show your skills in the Retro Jump Competition.
Bear Valley’s Skier/Boarder Cross, April 8 – The competition is Open to all skiers and snowboarders with an entrance fee of $20.
Shred the Love, March 12 – Help to support breast cancer.
Quad Crusher, March 25 – This event is a part of Silver Belt Series and there will be a two-person team division.
Spring Loaded March 25 to April 8 – The annual South Lake Tahoe event with live music, loud outfits and two weeks of sun and fun. The festivities also include Unbuckle Apres Parties, major events, concerts and more.
Shedhorn SkiMo, March 18 – Make sure you better be fitted for this party as SkiMo is where athletes on skinny skies climb Lone Peak (11,166 feet) twice. A total distance f 18 miles; vertical gain, 8,600 feet.
Spring Gruv, March 25-April 9– For 16 days there will be huge, free concerts in the two villages, as well as the 21st Annual Pond Skimming Contest.
Vans Grand Finale, March 18 – For the grand finale, Vans will bring a new, non-traditional feature by creating a custom-spec course where riders are encouraged to push the boundaries of their creative expression.
