Location of the Resort:

Located in the County of Reutlingen, Ski Resort Sonnenbühl in Germany is a place where the beauty of nature is at its very best. This wonderful resort is situated between the elevations of 770 meters and 820 meters. Sonnenbühl is not as big as its competitors but it is indeed, a good one.

The nearest airport to the resort is Stuttgart Airport which is located at a distance of 31 kilometers from the center of Reutlingen. From Stuttgart, it hardly takes 15-20 minutes to reach the resort. The next nearest airport to the resort is Bodensee Airport in Friedrichshafen which is approximately 122 kilometers away. From the airport, it takes around 1 hour 30 minutes to reach the airport. Both airports are situated in Germany only.

Details about the Slope:

With a vertical drop of 50 meters from the top to the bottom, Sonnenbühl offers you a slope of 0.5 kilometers which is well maintained and properly groomed by their staff. The turf provided is easy in terms of difficulty level and offers minimal resistance. Best part about the slope is that they are actually designed for the convenience of the skiers and snowboarders who are starting to learn and what better than this slope to practice your skills. Another added advantage about the resort is that their slope is equipped with flood lights and hence, they offer the facility of night skiing as well.

Season and Timing:

Like most of the resorts in Germany, the opening of the skiing season depends on the snow conditions. Usually, the resort opens in the mid of December and the season ends somewhere around mid of March. Timings for the resort to open during the season are 9AM to 4PM for normal skiing. For night skiing, the timings are 6PM to 10PM which is surely a delight to the customers.

Ski Lifts and Ski Pass Prices:

With a total lift length of 0.6 kilometer, both these lifts together can transport 2000 people to the summit from the base.

Talking about the prices of the ski pass for one day, adults have to pay 14 Euros whereas youth pay an amount of 13 Euros. For kids, the cost for a single day pass is 11 Euros. Also, for senior citizens, the ski resort offers a discounted pass at 13 Euros. If you are travelling in with a group, you can get attractive discounts as well. Passes are also available on an hourly basis as they provide them for 2, 3 and 4 hours. The price of these hourly passes range from 8 Euros to 11 Euros.

In addition to all the above points, we would like to add that the staff is very generous and the resort is children and senior citizen friendly as well. The facility of camping is also available at Sonnenbühl, so certainly it is a complete package. There are two ski and snowboarding schools as well, so no need to be embarrassed if you do not know how to ski.
