Ski Resort Spitzingsee-Tegernsee is located in the decorated Alpine region of Tegernsee, Upper Bavaria, Germany. Winter sports enthusiasts are always in search of places where the availability of snow is not a concern. Well, worry no more my friend. Ski Resort Spitzingsee-Tegernsee is a place you can rely upon as they have modern day snow making equipments which make sure there is enough snow for your fun to continue without any hindrance. The best possible way to reach here is to get to the nearest airport first, i.e. Munich Airport. From the airport, the resort is located at a distance of just 1 hour 20 minutes approximately and a car ride will help you to reach your destination. The nearest station to the resort is Schliersee and from there, bus connectivity is present which will escort you to the ski resort.

Slope Statistics:


The resort is located between the elevations of 980 meters and 1,580 meters and this is due to this height of the resort that the season here lasts longer. The slopes provided for skiing and snowboarding are 20 kilometers in length and offer plenty for skiers at all levels. The slope is divided in 3 difficulty levels- Easy, Intermediate and Difficult. The easy portion is 42 percent of the total track and accounts up to 8.5 kilometers in length. The next patch with intermediate difficulty is around 38 percent and is approximately 7.5 kilometers in length. The final section offers high difficulty and is designed for expert skiers. It comprises of 20 percent of the total track and is 4 kilometers in length. Another plus point of Ski Resort Spitzingsee-Tegernsee is that they offer floodlit slopes as well, so night skiing option is also available here. Ski Lifts and Passes:

As you can see that the resort is so huge in itself, they have 10 ski lifts in total to carry the passengers from the base to the summit. There are 3 chairlifts, 5 T-Bar lifts and 2 rope tow/beginner lifts. They also have a new ascension mechanism known as the People Mover. The total lift length accounts to a whopping 8.3 kilometers and when all these 10 lifts come together, they can carry up to 12,000 passengers to the top of the resort in an hour’s duration. For a ski resort this huge, they have very reasonable prices. For adults, a single day pass costs 33 Euros and youth have to pay 30 Euros for the same. Price is low for kids as they have to pay just 16 Euros for a single day pass.

Season and Timings:

The season at Ski Resort Spitzingsee-Tegernsee begins early in the month of December and continues for almost 120 days to conclude early in the month of April. There is no need to worry about the best time to visit or the best snow conditions as the resort slopes are equipped with a number of snow making cannons. Timings of the resort during season are 8:30AM to 4:20PM whereas the night skiing timings are 6:30PM to 10:00PM. This is a fun resort where you can enjoy a trip with either your friends or family.
