St Corona is one of the three winter resorts located close to Vienna on the Lower Austria border with Styria, and the place is located only around an hour away from the city. It is located in the District of Neunkirchen (Austria, Lower Austria (Niederösterreich), Wiener Alpen). St. Corona’s ski area on the Kampstein Mountain is one of Lower Austria’s bigger and higher ski areas, accessed by the Hansen II quad chairlift. It offers two chairlifts and a drag lift with a total altitude difference of just under 2000 feet (570 m). For skiing and snowboarding, there is 2.5 km of slopes available. 2 lifts transport the guests. The winter sports area is located right between the elevations of 860 and 1,200 m. Located at just 80 minutes drive from Vienna, St Corona offers everything beginners need to get a perfect start in winter sports.

It has 7 km of Red Pistes, 10 km of Blue Pistes, 7kms of Cross Country Pistes and 4 Ski Lifts. These 4 Ski Lifts are able to uplift 5,300 skiers/ snowboarders per hour. The highest Lift is 1000 m, and the lowest Piste is 1000 m resort.

This family ski country of St. Corona – Lower Austria’s most modern and largest children’s ski country ensures ample child-friendly conditions and offers for a good start on the slopes. There is a winter sports school where they give instruction for all ages and levels of performance. Their motto is “With play to the goal.” Thanks to the new ski-light concept, the children are in perfect hands. From 6 or 8 years are courses for ski carving, snowboarding, Short Carving and twin tip skiing offered.

 

The optimal sequence of activities that they provide includes Mother-child gymnastics and children’s gymnastics, Ice skating, hiking and balance games. The first visit to the children’s ski region – without ski lessons (for learning, watching, playing, tobogganing or bobsleighing) and second visit to the children’s ski country – with ski lessons (private lessons and/or price). The top-maintained cross-country ski trail is located in a snow-sure altitude and offers magnificent views into the surrounding mountains. Moreover, the panoramic views of Schneeberg, Rax, and AC meet at 70 kilometres of well-groomed ski tracks. The Wechsel-Semmering Panorama Trail gives a unique cross-country experience in 1,000 to 1,500 meters above sea level. The terrain offers optimal routes for every performance level – even smaller round cross sections are possible. The route leads through the areas of Schottwien, Trattenbach, Kirchberg, St. Corona, Aspangberg, and Mönichkirchen.

In the family driving fun, the summer toboggan run descends rapidly – alone or together, through steep curves and gyros. Downstairs, small and large sledges can be comfortably pulled back up again.
